Re:Open Zakarpattia is a forum of ideas and solutions for the development of the Zakarpattia region — as a multi-ethnic frontier, Ukraine's bridge to the EU and NATO, and a "pilot region" for structural reforms that can be replicated across the country.
The forum is an independent discussion platform for those who shape and make decisions. It was launched in 2020 by the Institute for Central European Strategy and is held annually in partnership with national and local government, business, international partners, civil society and media.
Re:Open Zakarpattia 2026 will take place on 6–7 November, for the seventh time, in person and in line with all security requirements under martial law — in Uzhhorod.

We believe in the power of interdisciplinary discussions spanning local, regional, national and international significance.
